September 18th to October 17th, 2010 - One Month Autumn Teachings and Retreat: Introduction to Abhidhamma and /Insight-Wisdom through discriminating awareness (topic for the month: introducing the method of contemplation, developing discrimination and inquiry, states (citta) and factors (cetasika) of consciousness, the interplay of states, meditative states and nature of transcendence).
Cost: TBA – Accommodation for the 1 month Abhidhamma retreat is by finding rental home/B&B accommodation. Registration for this 1 month Abhidhamma retreat needs to be made by application to Lama Mark directly. Please note: Lama Mark has strongly requested that applicants for retreats make the 3-week December retreat above a priority, before making requests to attend the 1-month Abhidhamma retreat. In order to go ahead with the 3 week retreat in December 2010, we need to fill and commit to Bodega Lodge on Galiano Island. Accommodation for the 1 month Abhidhamma retreat is by finding rental home/B&B accommodation. Please email Lama Mark directly with your request to attend.

We will hold the meeting at 11am out front of the Kitchen platform. There will be a potluck meal afterwards....please bring food if you are planning to attend.Hope to see you there!

During this retreat there will be an emphasis on getting to know the nature and interrelationships of breath; mindfulness-awareness, lucidity, kindness, and energy cycles in your mind-body. Lama Mark will show how direct and straightforward is meditation and that the kind and aware mind is always there; although just a bit hidden away for a time!

July 4th & 5th, It has just been recently discussed that we are going to host a Family Weekend two days before the silent meditation retreat with Lama Mark on the Crystal Mountain property. It would be a wonderful and an easeful way for you to settle into the retreat space and beautiful property by being there for those two days - not to mention how much fun it can be with the kids and workshops that people will be putting on ...
